The Seal of Righteousness (LD 25; Romans 4:11) | 2010-2011 Catechism Sermons

One of the summaries of doctrine that we claim to be a Christian truth refers to a sacrament as a seal. When we think of a seal in our society we think of something that is sealed up. It is something that is closed off so that there are no contaminates that can enter. Is this what we mean? Why would we use such language since it could be confusing? Is there any biblical basis for using this term? If you are curious about these questions please stay tuned to our sermon titled, “The Seal of Righteousness.”
