Scripture: Proverbs 10:22
Preacher: Rev. Adrian Dieleman
22 The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.
—- Additional Reading —-
4 A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. 5 He who gathers in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who brings shame.
11 Whoever works his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits lacks sense.
11 Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.
23 The fallow ground of the poor would yield much food, but it is swept away through injustice.
9 How long will you lie there, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? 10 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, 11 and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man.
26 The people curse him who holds back grain, but a blessing is on the head of him who sells it.
25 A greedy man stirs up strife, but the one who trusts in the Lord will be enriched.
18 The wicked earns deceptive wages, but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward.
23 Unequal weights are an abomination to the Lord, and false scales are not good.
7 Two things I ask of you; deny them not to me before I die: 8 Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, 9 lest I be full and deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?” or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of my God.
