What is Your Comfort? (LD 20; John 14:18-31) | 2009-2010 Catechism Sermons

In John 14 Christ is continuing with a speech to his disciples prior to His going to the cross. The disciples come together for the Lord’s Supper, and listen to Christ’s speech about His kingdom. Christ gives them assurance that the Father and Christ will send a helper to teach them. This sound strange that Christ is going to go to the cross, and he talks about the coming of the Holy Spirit? Why is the Holy Spirit so significant in the ministry of Christ and our redemption? How can the Holy Spirit be the peace that Christ confers? Please stay tuned as we work through these questions in our message titled, “What is Our Comfort?”
