Why Should We Do Good Works? (LD 32; 1 Peter 2:9-11) | 2009-2010 Catechism Sermons

One of the key objections to the Reformed understanding of redemption or salvation is that it will make believers lazy. You see if we receive our redemption freely on account of Christ and His merits then we will not care how we live, act, or whether we conform to the glory of heaven. Is this really true? How do we try to balance our conforming to Christ while we are secured in Him? How do we do this without becoming schizophrenic? What does the catechism say? How does Peter encourage us along these lines? Please keep listening to our sermon titled, “Why Should We Do Good Works?”
