Why Honor Authority? (LD 39; Ephesians 6:1-9) | 2012 Catechism Sermons

It seems that today many people are suspicious of individuals in authority. It seems that the expectation is that one has to question authority and rebel against authority to show that they are not going to be one of the herd. Ironically, this is something that is not that new, but is intrinsic to fallen man. So, now that we claim to be Christians why would we follow authority? Honestly, we do not have to think too hard to lay out abuses of authority. So, why do we as christians submit and obey authority? If you are curious about these questions please stay tuned to our sermon titled, “Why Honor Authority?”
