Where is Your Lord? (2) (LD 19; Acts 1:6-11) | 2009-2010 Catechism Sermons

We saw last time that Christ ascended into Heaven. We surveyed the prophet’s promise of the coming Spirit, and we made the case that this is tied to the ascension of Christ. So, why is the ascension of Christ so essential? Why is the Spirit presented as a fire from heaven so essential? Why are there tongues of fire at pentecost? How can this be comforting with our Lord in heaven? Please stay tuned as we work through these questions in our sermon titled, “Where is Your Lord? (2)”
