What Does it Mean to be Redeemed? (1 Peter 1:3-9; LD 1) | 2008-2009 Catechism Sermons

When we face a setback in life our first instinct is not to rejoice. However, Peter tells us to rejoice when we face trials. How can we rejoice? Is Peter not being sensitive to the reality of hardship in this life? Is Peter simply telling us to get over the grief? Or is there another basis for our hope?
