The Lord declares that through Judah there will be the mighty warrior king that will arise in history. It is clear that the line set with Judah will continue into eternity. However, Moses declares in Chapter 32 that Israel will fail miserably, and there is little hope for their national future. Amos the prophet speaks of the Lord coming against Israel as a mighty Lion as a covenant beast bringing the curse of the Lord upon the Israelites. Has the Lord forgotten His promise?
