The Last Supper or the FIrst Supper? (LD 28; Luke 22:14-23) | 2010-2011 Catechism Sermons

When Christ reclines with his disciples before going to the cross we refer to this meal as the last supper. Obviously, Christ is here with his disciples having this last supper before his arrest, crucifixion, and resurrection. Is this really a last supper or a first supper in the kingdom? Does it really matter that Christ points to the wine as the blood of the new covenant? What can be significant about that terminology? Please stay tuned to our sermon titled, “The Last Supper or First Supper?”
