The Joy of the Lord (LD 36; Col. 3:17) | 2010-2011 Catechism Sermons

If someone stopped you on the street and asked you, “What is blasphemy?” What would you tell them? Would you have a very canned answer where you simply say that blasphemy is taking the Lord’s name in vain? Or would you say that it is misusing the Lord’s name? Would you agree that whenever we sin we are misusing the Lord’s name? Would you agree that when we are not doing things in the joy of the Lord we are misusing the Lord’s name? What is the motivation for wanting to do everything in the joy of the Lord? If you are curious about these questions please stay tuned to our sermon titled, “The Joy of the Lord.”
