Our God is a Consuming Fire (LD 35; Hebrews 12:28, 29) | 2010-2011 Catechism Sermons

The book of Hebrews is a great book that provides wonderful Christian encouragement. However, when we turn towards the end of the book there is the warning that our God is a consuming fire. This language does not invite us to draw near to God, and so how can this book be a wonderful treatise for Christian encouragement? What is the point of this strong reminder of God’s holiness? Please stay tuned to our sermon titled, “Our God is a Consuming Fire.”
