We arrive at the climax of this book with the final vision of this book. In this vision the discloses to Amos the fate of Israel. However, there is the strange declaration. On the one hand Israel will be destroyed, but on the other hand the Lord will preserve the house of Jacob. How can the Lord destroy Israel, but at the same time deliver the house of Israel?
