We are people who are secured by the work of Christ, but yet we wait for the fullness of the blessings of Christ. This simply means that now we have the Holy Spirit as a guarantee for our entrance into heaven. In other words now we desire to enter heaven, but wait for that glorious day. If this is true then what do we do with Israel entering the promised land? Did Joshua give them rest? What is the rest that we long to enter? Will we enter that rest?
