Ephraim's Inheritance (Joshua 16:1-10)

When Rebecca hears from the Lord that she has two children in her womb the Lord states something that is interesting: the older will serve the younger. In our contemporary time this does not mean much, but in biblical times this is strange to hear. It is the oldest son who is the strongest and the one who is to receive the greater name and inheritance. However, the Lord is telling Isaac and Rebecca that this is not the way that things function in the kingdom of God. How is this theme developed? How do we see this theme worked out even in the distribution of the land of Canaan? If you are curious about these questions please stay tuned as we hear, "Ephraim’s Inheritance."
