Cursed is Everyone Hanged upon a Tree (Galatians 3:10-14)

"A hanged man is cursed by God." This is what the Lord says to Moses in Deuteronomy 21:23. The fate of being hung upon a tree testified to a transgressor of the law. The corpse of the dead executed person hung there as a reminder of the consequence of failing under Moses. When we think about the cross of Christ we think about Christ making payment for our sins. However, do we consistently think about the cross of Christ in light of meriting an eternal inheritance? Why does the apostle Paul cite this passage from Deuteronomy when talking about the reception of the Spirit? What is the historic significance of the cross of Christ? If you are interested in these questions please stay tuned as we hear, "Cursed is Everyone Hanged Upon a Tree."
