Ascending Beyond Canaan (LD 18; Psalm 68) | 2012 Catechism Sermons

I know that when I summarize the work of Christ I speak of the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. I guess that I have indoctrinated myself into think that those three things are the most essential things for the gospel of Christ to be true. So, I wonder why I and many other Christians do not say, “life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Christ.” Why is it so easy for Christians to leave out the blessing of the ascension of Christ? Do we see the ascension of Christ as a blessing? If you are curious about these questions please stay tuned to our sermon titled, “Ascending Beyond Canaan.”
