When we engage in the discussion of infant baptism I think that people on both sides of the debate have to realize that scripture is not explicit as to whether it is infants who are baptized or adults who are baptized after a profession of faith. Both sides are building their case from implications of various passages. So, in light of us knowing that we build our case on implications we look at scripture and try to show that infants should be baptized based on the continuity of the promise made to Abraham and our placement as sons of Abraham.
