A Priest in Melchizedek’s Line (LD 19; Psalm 110; Hebrews 7:11) | 2010-2011 Catechism Sermons

There is this mysterious figure in scripture by the name of Melchizedek. He is only mentioned a couple of times in the Old Testament, but yet the book of Hebrews mentions his name 8 times. In fact, there is no other mention of his name outside Hebrews. Why is this figure so important for the book of Hebrews? What does this name mean? What does this mysterious figure imply?
