The fall of man has eternal consequences. This means that history can never be the same. However, we do believe that God is merciful. If he is merciful then how come he cannot overlook the sin of Adam? Is Adam’s sin really that different from our sins? How does the Lord’s holding Adam accountable for His sin encourage us in our redemption? How do we know that the Lord is consistent?
